Sulfur caves still have bands of stone/deepslate where the bands of granite used to be

When the granite and tuff was removed from the sulfur caves this snapshot, the generation that let the granite generate between large patches of sulfur and cinnabar was left behind, though without any granite, which left bands of stone/deepslate/other blocks to divide large sulfur and cinnnabar patches.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Find a large sulfur cave

  2. Look at a large patch of cinnabar (usually more visible next to cinnabar)

Expected result: The sulfur and cinnabar would either meet like before snapshot 4, or have an intentional block in between to blend them

Actual result: A gap of whatever block was originally going to generate there is left between them
