Redstone Comparators cannot read a Bee Nest's honey level until a redstone update occurs

The bug

Redstone Comparators cannot read the honey level of Bee Nests or Beehives until the Comparator experiences a redstone update, or is broken and replaced.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Obtain a Bee Nest, a Redstone Comparator, a Redstone Lamp, and Redstone Dust from the Creative Inventory.

  2. Obtain a Debug Stick with the following command: /give @s minecraft:debug_stick

  3. Place the Bee Nest, a Comparator facing it, five Redstone behind the Comparator, and a Redstone Lamp at the end.

  4. Use the Debug Stick to change the honey_level of the Bee Nest to 5.

  5. Notice how the Redstone Lamp does not light up.

  6. Break and replace the Comparator.

  7. Notice how the Redstone Lamp now lights up.

Expected result

Redstone Comparators would be able to immediately read the honey level of a Bee Nest or Beehive.

Actual result

Redstone Comparators cannot read the honey level of a Bee Nest or Beehive until they are updated or replaced.

Hello,
I tired to repoduce and I was able to reproduce the bug. The other thing I noticed is that when bee fills the nest or hive with honey comparator properly updates the change.

And also for your notice this bug is alreadly tracked in MC-120986

The debug stick intentionally does not update the affected or adjacent blocks
