If a player at low health throws an ender pearl and immediately opens a container (e.g., chest, barrel, shulker box) before the pearl lands, the pearl's damage will kill the player while the inventory screen is still open. Upon death, the player simply disappears with no death message displayed in chat and no death screen — the inventory screen closes and the player is sent directly to the respawn screen.
Steps to Reproduce:
Reduce player health to 1-2 hearts (low enough that one ender pearl impact will kill).
Throw an ender pearl.
Before the pearl lands, quickly open a chest (or any container).
Wait for the ender pearl to hit and kill the player while the chest inventory is still open.
Observed Result:
The player dies immediately when the pearl lands.
The chest inventory closes.
No death message appears in chat.
The respawn screen appears directly.
Expected Result:
A death message should appear in chat (e.g., "[Player] hit the ground too hard" or "[Player] was killed by [Player/Mob] unintentionally").
The death should behave consistently with other forms of death.

Hello,
I understand your concern about third-party launchers. However, I want to clarify that this bug is not related to the launcher.
The video I attached was recorded using the official vanilla Minecraft (the unmodified version from Mojang). The launcher used is merely a tool to start the game and does not modify any game code, mechanics, or behavior.
To confirm, I have reproduced this bug on a completely clean vanilla instance with no mods, no datapacks, and no resource packs. The steps are exactly as I described earlier:
Lower health to 1–2 hearts.
Throw an ender pearl.
Immediately open a chest before the pearl lands.
Die from the pearl’s impact while the chest GUI is still open.
