Boat and Minecart combination with a mob creates self-moving vehicle

When placing a boat and a minecart together and putting a mob (for example, a villager) inside, the combined structure starts moving on its own without player input.

The movement appears to be driven by the minecart, and the direction can be influenced by rails. The behavior only occurs when a mob is inside the minecart.

  • Place a boat

  • Place a minecart in the same position (overlapping the boat)

  • Put a mob (e.g. villager) into the minecart

  • Enter the boat

  • Observe that the structure starts moving on its own

  • Place rails nearby to influence direction

The boat and minecart should remain stationary unless moved by player input or powered rails.

The structure moves automatically without input when a mob is inside the minecart.

  • Movement stops if the mob is removed or killed

  • Movement does not occur when only a player is inside

  • The behavior persists after rejoining the world
