The peer-to-peer connection feature was temporarily removed

Just yesterday (on snapshot 8) i was playing the snapshot, and we were all playing multiplayer - online (where you just send them an invite and they can join). However i get on the morning after (now on pre release 1) and the option to turn on online multiplayer is gone?

They only give two options, which are multiplayer off and multiplayer LAN?

Thank you for your report!
However, this issue is Working as Intended.

The report you have submitted is working as intended: refer to the 26.2 Pre-Release 1 changelog:

With this pre-release, we are removing the Peer-to-Peer connection feature introduced in a recent snapshot. Because the experience wasn't what we wanted it to be for all players, we do not consider the feature ready for release in its current form.

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
