Players can change their game mode from the World Options menu in hardcore worlds

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new Hardcore world in Minecraft Java Edition.

  2. Enter the world and press “Esc” to open the game menu.

  3. Click on Settings.

  4. Navigate to the Game Mode option in the settings.

  5. Change the game mode from “Survival” to another mode (e.g., “Creative” or “Spectator”).

Observed Results:

The game mode can be changed via the settings menu, even though the world is in Hardcore mode and “Allow Cheats” is disabled by default.

Expected Results:

In a Hardcore world, the game mode option should be locked (greyed out) or hidden entirely, as Hardcore is meant to enforce a permanent Survival mode with no ability to change difficulty, enable cheats, or alter the game mode.
