Description:
Blocks with animated textures (such as prismarine, command blocks, magma blocks, lanterns and fire) render their animated faces as black textures instead of what they are normally.
Steps:
Opening a world (imported or created) in the 26.2 snapshot 3 or 4 using the default graphics API (supposedly with older hardware, as I’ve seen videos of this snapshot where people don’t experience this issue).
Expected Result:
Animated textures render normally
Actual Result:
For the “fancy” quality preset:
Animated faces render as black textures, while fire and water render as completely transparent (the fire overlay is also transparent). The first attached image shows the bug with the fancy preset (screenshot 154).
For the “fast” quality preset:
With the exception of lava, sea lanterns and both variants of oxidized copper lanterns, all animated blocks (and the fire overlay) render as randomly colored textures (with a few frames of animation too), as in the second attached image (screenshot 155).
Environment
Intel Core i5-3470 CPU, no dedicated GPU, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, no resourcepacks or datapacks included in the world.
