Issue:
World hosts cannot have access to or open the game-mode switcher, despite being Open to LAN and “Allow Commands“ being enabled. This issue also applies to non-LAN worlds as well.
I want to confirm that this issue came up in versions after 26.2 Pre-Release 3.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Create a new world
Once the world is loaded, press “Open to LAN.”
Enable LAN to “ON“ and set Allow Commands under the “Settings for Other Players“
Press “Apply Changes“
A message should say that the world is now open to LAN.
Press F3 and F4 to open the game-mode switcher
Expected Result:
The game-mode switcher UI should show up.
Actual Result:
The game-mode switcher UI doesn’t show up, as a message says “Unable to open game mode switcher; no permission. “

I believe this now only changes the game mode and commands for other players; there are now separate options for the world host in the “World Options” menu, accessed from the general options screen.

However, this issue is Invalid.
This report does not describe a bug.
The host of a LAN world can enable commands (and the game mode switcher) for themselves from the "World Options" menu, which can be found in the options menu. The "Settings for Other Players" section in the "Open to LAN" menu only controls the other players.
