Summary:minecraft.crafted statistic incorrectly increments when purchasing items from villagers
Description:
While working with the in-game statistics system, I noticed an issue with the minecraft.crafted:<item> objective. This objective is intended to track items explicitly crafted by the player. However, the game also increments this counter when the player purchases items from villager merchants
This behavior creates a logical and lexical contradiction, as purchasing an already existing item from a trader is credited to the player as crafting it. This bug has been tested and confirmed to persist in the latest unmodified versions of the game
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new singleplayer world in Creative mode
2. Run the following command to track arrow crafting: /scoreboard objectives add test minecraft.crafted:minecraft.arrow
3. Display the objective on the sidebar to visually track the changes: /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar test
4. Spawn an adult villager and place a fletcher's workstation nearby to give them the Fletcher profession.
5. Get some emeralds, open the villager's trading menu, and buy arrows.
Observed results:
The scoreboard counter on the sidebar increments by the exact amount of arrows purchased from the villager, falsely indicating that the player "crafted" them.
Expected results:
The crafting statistic should remain unchanged (0 items), as the player performed a trade/purchase, not a crafting action. Buying items from villagers should only increment trade-related statistics
