I noticed that spruce trees are generating in the newly introduced biome. This seems unintended and looks out of place for this specific environment.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a new world (or explore an existing one in the latest snapshot/version).
Locate the new biome.
Observe the tree generation.
Observed Results: Spruce trees can be found scattered across the new biome.
Expected Results: The new biome should only feature its own unique vegetation (or the intended tree types), without accidental spruce tree generation.

yes this is intended. It’s a ‘cold’ biome and the trees are intended to fit in (also they purposefully removed leaf particles from spruce trees which might be making way for something more fitting, that matches better)
Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Working as Intended.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
