In the language selection screen, the game allows a language to be selected by double-clicking on it. However, the game only checks that the second click lands on a language entry, regardless of where the first click occurred. This means that if the player’s first click is outside the desired language (e.g., on another language, or on empty space), and the second click hits a language entry, the game still treats the action as a valid double‑click and switches to that language. The intended behavior should require both clicks of the double‑click to be on the same language item.
Steps to Reproduce
Launch Minecraft.
Click the Earth icon to open language screen.
Perform a double‑click where the first click is placed anywhere except on the desired language entry (for example, on a different language, or on the background).
Ensure the second click lands on a specific language entry (e.g., “English (US)”).
Actual Result
The game immediately selects and applies the language that was hit by the second click, even though the first click of the double‑click was not on that language.
Expected Result
No language change should occur because a double‑click should only be recognized when both clicks are performed on the same language entry. The selection should require that the first and second clicks both target the identical language item.

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
