This is useful when e.g. wanting to override vanilla features.
It is only a problem if the placed_feature both references the exact same feature, and uses the same placement rules.
Attached is a datapack that replaces both diorite ore placed features to have no placement rules (and thus removing them from generation). Since those features reference the same configured feature in vanilla using two different sets of placement rules, this will cause the exception.
I don’t see why this would cause any problems, and it works fine if you e.g. add a dummy placement rule with “count 0” to exactly one of the placed features to make it look different.
Steps to Reproduce
Download [mediaInline]
Open the world creation screen
Go to the more tab
Click the Datapacks button
Drag the file into the screen
Move it to the left side (Selected)
Click Done
Click Create New World
Expected Result
The game loads this datapack fine and can handle multiple placed features with the exact same configuration.
Observed Result
The game crashes and upon attempting to load it after restarting the instance, it will fail due to datapack errors.
