I opened a mega world in snapshot 26.3 Snapshot 2 with the seed 6738749103875966155, and opened a chest near a ruined portal around xyz=170,185,145 (see Figure 1 for location and Figure 2 for screenshot). However, after opening the chest, the screen turned into what is shown in Figure 3. Reloading the save did not fix the issue, but restarting the game did.

Could you please provide more details. As we have no repro of this issue.
Are you using any modifications or texture packs?
Have you tried reinstalling the launcher and the Minecraft game? (Remember to create backup files before doing so.)
