Players can clip through solid blocks by sitting on cushions placed over signs

Description

Short description of the issue When a cushion is placed on top of a sign, and a solid block is placed directly above that cushion, the player can glitch and pass through the solid block when attempting to sit on the cushion.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Place a sign on the ground or against a block.

  2. Place a cushion directly on top of the sign.

  3. Place a solid block directly above the cushion.

  4. Interact with the cushion to sit on it.

Expected result The player should either be prevented from sitting due to a lack of clearance, or sit successfully without clipping into the solid block above.

Actual result The player clips/glitches directly through the solid block above them upon sitting on the cushion.

This is a highly exploitable bug. Players can easily use this glitch to bypass solid walls or ceilings, completely breaking base security and map boundaries. I highly recommend addressing this issue as soon as possible before the final release.

I don’t see how this is exploitable. Placing a cushion inside a wall in this way requires the ability to break blocks, which would be enough to allow the player to bypass the wall in the first place. If the cushion is already placed there, it is either intended for players to be able to bypass that wall, or a mistake, in which case the cushion should just be removed from that position.

The cushion is literally located behind the texture, and you can even sit on it. Visually it cannot be seen unless you turn on hitboxes. I think, this is anyway bug, even if you can't use it for personal gain.

I agree that it’s a bug. I just questioned the reason why this ticket was private.

Okay, thank you for answer!
