When breaking a block and the mining progress is interrupted, e.g. falling out of range, blocking the block you’re breaking through the offhand, etc., sometimes the cracks that are shown when you’re breaking the block just stay there until the block is updated again. this also continues to act as it is broken again, starting the process at the mining stage seen on the glitched cracks of the block. To recreate this, you can find a block just out of reach above you from the ground, then jump to mine it a bit, then fall back down, it may retain the cracks. You can also get farmland and spam a crop to put on the farmland and instantly mine and the farmland beneath may slowly get cracked and eventually break.
Environment
On around 60 FPS when I encountered the bug, and on a laptop, not a high-performance computer, though may be irrelevant to this bug
