Issue MC-263708 which concerned “Keypad” not being stated before keypad versions of keys was marked as fixed for this snapshot, but these two specific keys appear to have been left out.
If you bind a game control to the left bracket and right bracket key on your keyboard’s keypad, despite these being specifically keypad keys, the text “Keypad “ will not be displayed at the start of it. The expected names would be “Keypad (” and “Keypad )”, however the actually displayed names are just “(” and ")".
To reproduce, simply try to bind a game control to the ( and ) keys on the keypad of your keyboard. If your keyboard does not have these keys, a key press can be simulated using the attached script (Linux only):
download the attached Python script and put it in a folder somewhere
open the terminal in this window and run the following command: ./simulate-keys 'sleep 2' 'press 179' 'sleep 0.1' 'release 179'
within two seconds, click on one of the rebindable buttons in the controls menu and wait for a control to be bound to it
repeat with the following command: ./simulate-keys 'sleep 2' 'press 180' 'sleep 0.1' 'release 180'
