Scroll wheel sensitivity

scroll wheel sensitivity just fine under the OS environment
but under minecraft, it seems to be too sensitive.
any scrolling movement will (for me) cause scrolling over too many spaces in Minecraft, and sometimes even moving the mouse will cause the hotbar selection to jump by 1 or 2 spaces
should be an option to change how much minecraft reads scroll wheel or add an option to disable it (i never use the scroll wheel function, should allow me to disable if it bothers m)
