I spent ages recording but never captured the footage I wanted. The game froze only after I ran gamerule commands to enable a certain rule, then obtained the Bad Omen effect.

This issue only occurred once.

I used the /gamerule command and added a parameter after it. I've forgotten what that parameter was, and I didn't type true or false. The game set it to true automatically.

This may be the root cause of the issue. I have a DWM-disabling tool installed on my PC that can turn off my DWM components. When I launch Minecraft after disabling DWM components, then close the tool to re-enable DWM, the game window freezes.
