Downgrading a world from latest snapshot to snapshot 3 replaces loaded chunks with void

As the title says, when you downgrade a world from 26.3 Snapshot 7 to 26.3 Snapshot 3, the existing chunks that loaded in Snapshot 7 are removed, leading to mobs falling into the void and weird light glitches on blocks. This can be explained via screenshots I took in-game and on Mineways.

Steps to recreate this issue:

  1. Create a world in Snapshot 7

  2. Close the world

  3. Open Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 3

  4. Open the world in that version (Press “I know what I’m doing” when it says you’re downgrading a world)

Expected Result:

Nothing happens, and your world will remain normal

Actual Result:

All loaded chunks disappear, leading to overworld mobs that spawned falling. Using the setblock command can place a block, but the lighting would be glitched on the sides.

Images:

I have highlighted with a pink outline the loaded chunks that are gone after downgrading the world. The Ancient city was placed with commands
