Timers like the login time or the flight tick timer are not adjusted (or disabled) when using /tick sprint, which causes players to not be able to log in or get kicked for flying during normal gameplay, as those timers both rely on client feedback to not kick you. This is likely made a lot worse by high ping, yet it already happens semi-consistently (might require a few attempts sometimes) with a server running on the local machine.
Steps to reproduce both issues at once:
Run /tick sprint with a high time, e.g. /tick sprint 20000
Jump around the world in survival mode
Get disconnected for flying
Try to rejoin the server
Get disconnected for βTook too long to log inβ
Possible Solutions
As tick sprinting is not part of the normal gameplay loop, I personally think it is acceptable to disable both features during a sprint. Other options are scaling the amount of ticks during sprinting and/or changing the login timeout to use system time instead of game time.
Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
