Not all armor trim override features have been restored

  • Short description of the issue

I was working on porting my resource pack/datapack to the latest 26.3 snapshot after seeing MC-310132 was fixed! Unfortunately not all that was previously possible in 26.2 is possible in this latest snapshot .

  • Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Open Minecraft 26.2.

  2. Create or open a world in creative mode or with cheats enabled.

  3. Apply a Redstone trim of either Flow or Host onto any piece of armor.

  4. Apply any other Redstone trim that is not Coast, Flow, or Host onto any piece of armor.

  5. Download and select the attached resource pack TrimOverrideExample2.zip.

  6. Repeat steps 2, 3, 4 and 5 on 26.3 Snapshot 7.

  • Expected result

Every Redstone trim texture would be customized and display correctly.

  • Actual result

Any Redstone trim that is not Coast, Flow, or Host have their textures stretched, seemingly ignoring their .png.mcmeta file.

I’m super happy that trim texture overriding is partially restored! Half of my resource pack/datapack is sitting updated thanks to it. Hoping this remaining bug is easily squashed!
