Local coordinates produce inaccurate results compared to previous versions

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a “The Void” preset superflat world in 26.2.

  2. Turn on looking_at_block_state debug overlay.

  3. Run the command in chat: /execute positioned 0.0 -60.0 0.0 rotated -90 0 run setblock ^ ^ ^1 glass.

  4. See “Targeted Block” coordinate → 1, -60, 0 ✅

  5. Repeat the test in 26.3 snapshot 8 → 0, -60, -1 ❌

Expected Result

^ ^ ^1 with rotation -90 0 is logically equivalent to ~1 ~ ~. Therefore, running /execute positioned 0.0 -60.0 0.0 run setblock ~1 ~ ~ glass should place glass at the same position (1, -60, 0).

Observed Result

In 26.3 snapshot 8, the glass is placed at the wrong location.

Possible Cause

Replace setblock ^ ^ ^1 in step 3 with summon marker ^ ^ ^1 and use /data get entity @n[type=marker] Pos to get the accurate calculated position. The marker’s position shows that the calculation result is inaccurate.

  • 26.2 → [1.0d, -60.0d, 0.0d]

  • 26.3 snapshot 8 → [0.999999999999999d, -60.0d, -4.371139006309477E-8d]
