Since 26.3 Snapshot 4, pasting into a text field does not work. REMOVING ALL ADD-ONS AND RESOURCE PACKS DOES NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE.
Restarting the computer with no programs open, and only opening Minecraft with no resource packs or mods, while loading in the latest snapshot of Minecraft for the first time does not solve the issue.
This works for any text field, including in-game chat, world naming, or seed inputting.
I’m unsure whether this applies to all devices running Java, but this bug exists for at least MacOS 10.15.8
Pasting text works for all other official versions. 26.3 snapshots yield no text or output when typing (cmd+v), or any other combination of keys (like ctrl+v, cmd+ctrl+v, fn+cmd+v, etc).
A VIDEO IS PROVIDED IN THE COMMENTS
Note that I tried even more methods (including trying with different keys), and without OBS open off-camera. Usually Minecraft runs with at least 50+FPS and smoothly on all versions, it’s simply OBS that’s lagging the quality, particularly in the second half of the video. Because of this, I recommend watching the video at 2x speed.
