The new Straw Bed currently provides no fall damage reduction when landing on it. This feels a little inconsistent with how Hay Bales work elsewhere in Minecraft.
Straw Beds are crafted directly from Hay Bales, which reduce fall damage by 80%. I’m not suggesting that a Straw Bed should provide the full 80% reduction, since it is a bed and not a solid Hay Bale block. However, giving it a smaller reduction, such as 40%, would make sense.
Regular Beds already reduce fall damage by 50% and also bounce the player, so it seems reasonable for a bed made entirely from Hay Bales to provide at least some cushioning when landing on it.
This would also make the behavior of hay-related blocks feel more consistent: if Hay Bales can absorb most of the impact, a bed made from them should probably absorb at least part of it as well.
Steps to Reproduce:
Craft a Straw Bed using Hay Bales.
Place the Straw Bed on the ground.
Fall from a height that would normally cause fall damage.
Land directly on the Straw Bed.
Expected Result:
The Straw Bed should reduce fall damage by some amount, like 40%
Actual Result:
The player takes full fall damage when landing on the Straw Bed, with no reduction at all.
