Item Frame
Description
When a player holds a Spear and is within the spear's minimum attack range (2 blocks) of an Item Frame, right-clicking the item frame triggers the Charge Attack instead of placing the spear into the frame. The spear can be placed into the item frame normally when the player is outside this range.
Steps to Reproduce
Obtain any Spear and an Item Frame.
Place the Item Frame on a solid block.
Hold the Spear in your main hand.
Position yourself within 2 blocks of the item frame.
Right-click the item frame.
Expected Result
The spear should be placed inside the item frame as a displayed item.
Actual Result
The Spear's Charge Attack is triggered — the player enters the charge animation and the spear is not placed into the item frame.
Notes
This bug only occurs when the player is within the spear's minimum attack range (2 blocks) of the item frame.
When the player is more than 2 blocks away, right-clicking the item frame correctly places the spear inside.
This issue is already being tracked in MC-304551. I have resolved this report as a duplicate.
