Players cannot interact with entities while using a spear at close range

This may be WAI, as the spear is specifically programmed to not be able to interact with any entities if the user is within 2 blocks of them, not just unable to attack those entities.

They fixed this with blocks in MC-304421, but not entities.

Just noticed this in 1.21.11 when trying to insert a spear into an item frame. I doubt this is WAI, especially with item frames.

Still reproducible in 26.2 and 26.3 Pre-Release 2. Item frames cannot be interacted with while holding a spear within ~2 blocks, and villagers only fail when standing directly next to them; any farther away and they work normally. I couldn't reproduce this with bows, crossbows or shields.
