Block breaking particles and sounds are not cancelled and continue appearing when pausing the game in multiplayer or using a portal

Since 26.3 Pre-Release 2, block breaking particles and sounds are not cancelled and continue appearing when pausing the game in multiplayer or using a portal. This did not happen in Pre-Release 1.

Sometimes ‘Block breaking’ closed captions also appears after using the portal even though the breaking sound cannot actually be heard (You can see that in the video), but I don't know under what condition this happens.
