Mobs which spawn at X/Z > 30M during worldgen are sometimes visually kicked out to X/Z = 30M

Mobs (and possibly certain other entities) which spawn at X/Z > 30M during worldgen are sometimes visually kicked out to X/Z = 30M. For those that are not, pearling closer to their actual position can sometimes bring them to 30M visually, and for those appearing at 30M, reloading the area/world can cause them to appear at their spawn location again. Affected entities cannot be attacked or interacted with and seem to float in the air.

To reproduce

  1. Create a new superflat world with seed 2671334189191302459 and commands allowed

  2. Set render distance to 32

  3. /teleport @s 29999983 ~ 80
❌ You will likely see some floating mobs just past the world border

Expected behavior

Such entities would either:

  • Fail to spawn at all

  • Remain at their spawn location without glitching to X/Z = 30M, possibly with NoAI:1b

  • Be kicked to the playable area of the world (hitbox size being taken into account) and remain there with full AI
