Ticking smoke particles cause a lot of stuttering on the render thread.
This happens even if none of the particles are visible on screen, and also despite there being no stutters on the server thread.
The stuttering goes away if the game is tick frozen
Reproduction Steps:
Set render distance to 32
Create a superflat world
Run command
/fill ~-50 ~ ~-50 ~50 ~ ~50 campfirethen/tp @p ~ ~ ~55 0 0
Observed Results:
The FPS stutters even though there are no particles on screen
Expected Results:
FPS wouldn’t stutter. The presence of the campfires should cause the FPS to be lower yes, but evenly, not stuttery.
Environment
Windows 11 25H2. Intel B580
