Spectators in Debug Mode can right-click on the End Portal, teleporting to a broken End dimension

If a player in a Debug Mode world (naturally in spectator mode) attempts to right-click on the End portal block to interact with it, the player will be teleported to a broken End dimension, featuring a partial Debug map layout, floating End Crystals and a lonely Ender Dragon.

How to reproduce:

  1. Create a “Debug Mode” world (you’ll need to hold CTRL + ALT for the World Type to appear).

  2. Fly over to the flat end portal. It’s next to the Cauldrons.

  3. While still in spectator mode, right-click on the End portal. You should be teleported to the (mildly broken) End.

In theory, traveling to alternate dimensions should not be possible in a Debug mode world, at least while still in spectator mode. The fact that you cannot do this with the Nether Portal or the End Gateway in spectator mode supports this, with the UI displaying the error text: “Unable to teleport. The other side is not generated yet”. The End dimension being rather corrupted in its layout and the only portal that allows this semi-fractured functionality also supports this theory.

I have also included attachments to supplement my report:

  1. A video demonstrating the possible issue with the End Portal

  2. An image of the expected behavior with the Nether Portal

  3. An image of the expected behavior with the End Gateway

Fascinating bug! It seems it first appeared in 26.3 Snapshot 4 rather than 26.4 Snapshot 2, and it's still present in the 26.3 release
