This bug is present in versions 1.21.11+ and above
So a zombified piglin that gets angry at an entity and then enters a portal (nether portal) then they will attempt to pathfind to that entity’s exact coordinates in that dimension even tho the entity doesnt exist there. And they will never lose anger.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Open the world download in the attachments. (world is made in 1.21.10)
Activate the lever on the white concrete block.
Go to the nether and observe behavior.
Expected result: Zombified piglins should lose anger to the target and track the turtle eggs
Actual result: Zombified piglins try to track the entity they are angry at even tho they are nowhere near/don't exist in that dimension.
Code analysis:
i am not a code expert but from what i can tell (and was told by others) the issue might stem from “net/minecraft/world/entity/NeutralMob”
it was heavily changed in 1.21.11.
1.21.10 zombified piglins check if their anger target still exists in their current level's (dimension's?) entity list. while in 1.21.11 they keep some sort of reference to that target and doesn't make any dimension checks.
I have provided example videos of testing in both versions. The conditions of the test are exactly the same in both versions. but as you can see 1.21.11 has a completely different behavior.

Look at MC-149563 because it might have something to do with this.
Also MC-279073 was resolved as a duplicate of the same issue after showing cross-dimensional AngryAt pathfinding with a zombified piglin. This issue may involve the same missing dimension check with the added detail that the behavior changed between 1.21.10 and 1.21.11.
