Attacking hitbox through wall with an axe disables held shield

[Description]
During a PvP tier test on a multiplayer server, a severe hitbox clipping issue occurred. When a player stands completely flush against a 1-block thick solid wall (such as obsidian or stone) while holding up a shield, their hitbox slightly clips through the block.

If another player on the opposite side attacks the wall using a close-range weapon like an axe or mace, the game registers it as a valid hit on the clipped hitbox. This results in the shield being disabled/stunned and the player taking damage right through a completely solid wall, without using any third-party cheats or hacks.

[Steps to Reproduce]

Set up a 1-block thick solid wall (e.g., Obsidian or Stone).

Have Player A stand completely tight against the wall inside a 1x1 corridor.

Have Player A raise and hold a shield facing the wall.

Have Player B stand on the exact opposite side of the wall.

Player B looks directly at the wall where Player A is standing behind and swings an axe or mace.

[Observed Results]
Player B's attack bypasses the solid block entirely, striking Player A's clipped hitbox and disabling Player A's shield through the wall.

[Expected Results]
The solid block wall should completely block any melee attacks, and the shield should not be affected or disabled from the opposite side.

Please upload a video recording of the issue in vanilla Minecraft, latest release or latest snapshot, on a vanilla server or LAN, and have the debug overlay (F3) enabled and showing the game version. Use glass blocks or similar for the wall so that the issue can be clearly seen in a single recording.
