When placing ice crystals next to lava, they appear to give of lots of light
Steps to reproduce place an ice crystal directly next to the edge of flowing lava and observe how much light it appears to emit from itself.
Expected Result: The light level will appear lower than the level in dark places (such as the new ice caves)
Observed result: They appear brighter than they normally are around sufficent amounts of light

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Working as Intended.
Lava with light level of 15 overrides Ice Crystal light level 4 as it is brighter.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
