It is only the Polished Calcite Walls that have this mistake.
Just tested it on polished sulfur walls and confirmed that there is no issue regarding those, and that the issue is only present in this.
The texture of polished tuff walls were perfectly aligned (I just tested it and confirmed the issue is only present in this block) but polished calcite walls however are not.
I personally believe that this is Working As Intended
This is intended, Because I believe this was done to distinguish it from the texture of Mud Bricks.

This actually relates to MC-312483 and was mistaken as a Duplicate of it, this report has nothing to do with the surface, instead it was the walls of cliffs at the given coordinates a Duplicate is the report of the exact same bug, this is not the exact same bug described, because i was not talking about the surface, i assume this was a misunderstanding, please reopen.
On another note: if you go through those bugged out generating ice and calcite splotches on the cliff in spectator made, you can for that there is nothing behind it most of the time.
I do not know what you are talking about, doesn’t sound like a real legitimate bug to me.
