The Bug:
Projectiles shot by mobs can break minecarts and boats when the mob_griefing game rule is set to false.
When the mob_griefing game rule is set to false, projectiles shot by mobs cannot damage armor stands, item frames, paintings, or dropped items, and explosions caused by mobs cannot break minecarts or boats. However, arrows, fireballs, and other projectiles shot by mobs can still break minecarts and boats, therefore introducing an inconsistency.
Steps to Reproduce:
Set the
mob_griefinggame rule to false by using the command provided below./gamerule mob_griefing falsePlace a bunch of boats down on the ground.
Summon a wither using the command provided below.
/summon minecraft:witherDodge the wither skulls so that they hit the boats.
Observe if the boats are destroyed.
Observed Behavior:
Projectiles shot by mobs can break minecarts and boats when the mob_griefing game rule is set to false.
Expected Behavior:
Mob projectiles would not be able to break minecarts and boats when the mob_griefing game rule is set to false.
