You can see the inner faces of slimes, but not of slime blocks

Slime blocks are designed to resemble slimes, with a smaller cube visible inside of a larger cube. However, they are designed inconsistently from each other: slime mobs have visible inner faces as well, whereas slime blocks have none.

To fix, simply define the inner faces accordingly.
