Not all projectile with can_break component allows player to throw to break block in adventure mode

Not all projectile item with can_break component allows player to throw them to break block in adventure mode.

When player in adventure mode throw projectile, projectiles cannot break block, this is intended according to MC-309081. When player fire/throw arrow, tipped arrow, spectral arrow and trident item whitch has can_break component, thrown projectile will have can_break component, this component can decide whether blocks can be broken.

The inconsistent is, not only arrows and tridents can break block. Snowball, wind charge, … also can break block, but they don’t have this feature. Considering can_break component to adventure mode are desigen to facing custom map, this inconsisent can affect players.

How to Reproduce

  1. Obtain some projectile item with can_break component:

    1. /give @a minecraft:trident[minecraft:can_break=[{blocks:[decorated_pot]}]]

    2. /give @a minecraft:snowball[minecraft:can_break=[{blocks:[decorated_pot]}]] 16

    3. /give @a minecraft:wind_charge[minecraft:can_break=[{blocks:[decorated_pot]}]] 64

  2. Place some decorated pots.

  3. Throw peojectile at decorated pots when you are not in adventure mode.

  4. Throw peojectile at decorated pots when you are adventure mode.

Expected Result

Whether you are adventure mode, all of these projectile can break decorated pot.

Observed Result

When you are adventure mode, only trident can break decorated pot, snowball and wind charge cannot.

Note

Although not all projectile respect can_break component from item, all projectile with can_break tag can work normally. So this incosistent behavior only make other projectile thrown by adventure mode player harder to break block. We still can constantly check and use /data modify ... to modify the projectiles thrown by player to give can_break tag. I report this for consistency to projectiles.
