Summary:
Decorated pots and chorus flowers can be destroyed by projectiles in adventure mode. This issue is a regression of MC-265758 and MC-225364 (similar to the recently fixed regression MC-308789). This represents a critical problem for map makers, as it allows players to break structural, functional, and decorative elements of the environment without the proper permissions.
Steps to reproduce:
Place down a decorated pot and a chorus flower.
Obtain projectiles (e.g., a bow with arrows, a trident, or snowballs/eggs).
Switch to adventure mode (
/gamemode adventure).Shoot or throw the projectiles at the placed decorated pot and chorus flower.
Take note as to whether or not these blocks can be destroyed by projectiles in adventure mode.
Observed results:
Both decorated pots and chorus flowers can be destroyed by projectiles, despite the player being in adventure mode.
Expected results:
Decorated pots and chorus flowers should not be destroyable by projectiles in adventure mode, consistent with standard adventure mode restrictions and their previous fixes.
This was never a regression of MC-265758. That issue was fixed by introducing the
projectiles_can_break_blocksgame rule, which still works.
