Villages spawn very frecuently in desserts, but lesser in savannas and even lesser times in plains biome. The proportion of plains biome in the map may be large but very scattered between other biomes so that lets too many situations where villages fail to appear because of obstacles.
Plains should have a little larger proportion or a bigger frecuency in village spawning.

I have personally checked this. I made a world in Creative and flew 10000 blocks in any direction and TPed back to 0,0 to fly somwhere else. I barely found any structures whatsoever.
They could fix this by
a. Creating an option for structure spawn frequency
b. Just increase frequency spawning overall
c. For villages, remove the biome requirement. I think Jungle Villages would be a nice addition.
@Andrew A/B. See MC-31065 for village generation issues. C. This site is for bug reports only. Feature and improvement suggestions are not currently being tracked here.
Ok, but if I take the fact that there's a very high number of villages that fail to appear because of the new biome mix and that leaves almost without villages the plains biome, ¿Can't that be called a bug? ¿Too few villages in plains biome maybe?
But thanks for the fast answer! I trully hope this gets solved. Its not fun that dry biomes have much more villages than normal ones.
@Alexander... that comment was @Andrew please reread. Your comment of villages failing to appear in plains is MC-31065 ... this ticket is related as whatever code change needs to be fixed in 30165 may also fix what you are talking about. To be honest this is very close to being a duplicate of MC-31065 and if not that, then a feature request.
This ticket will remain open for now, until the gen code is fixed, then this may be resolved along with it as it is hard to determine if this is working as intended until MC-31065 is fixed.
This isn't the same as the bug in 13w37b that directly DOESN'T generate villages, please do not put them together.
