[MC-31649] Beacon Beam not showing

The beacon light (not light level) does not show up in the 13w38a. Changing the Post Processing option does nothing, Super Secret Settings should be on default, though I really can't tell for sure. I closed the game entirely just in case before checking the beacon again. This occurs in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

EDIT:

I should also mention that this occurs whether or not the beacon has been "activated".

Playing "Snapshot 13w38c", the beacon beam still won't appear. I've changed my video settings multiple time & again, won't appear. I've also checked for the beacon's beam texture just in-case it wasn't removed, the beam texture is still there. I've used MCEdit on the same map i found out about this, could this of affected it?

P.S: The person who logged this bug report, what does he mean by "Super Secret Settings should be on default"?

Edit: The beacon didn't have anything above to block the beam.

No working beacons here either with 13w39b. On a whim I created a new, default world, and assembled a 3x3 iron block pyramid with beacon on top. No other changes. Beacon will not light.

I'd several dozen working beacons in a different world, none of which now work.

Several other problems which I'll post separately as they seem unrelated to this one.

Although I have made the pyramid and placed the beaconator on top, none of the powers are selectable. There are no non-naturally occurring blocks above it (it is in the Nether). I am using 14w11b.
