[MC-33151] Falling and landing on a ladder gives you fall damage

When falling about 10 blocks or so and landing in the middle of a ladder (far from top and bottom), players receive at least 1 heart worth of damage.

Ladders provide a way to safely cushion a player's impact after a free fall. Upon entering a ladder's area of effect, the player's speed is reduced instantly to normal ladder descent speed and no damage is taken. Care must be taken to avoid landing on the narrow top surface of the ladder, as this will incur falling damage as normal.

Before coming to here I did look up on the wiki about ladders and damage. I understand that people receive damage from landing on the top of a ladder. I read that in the wiki and other people's guides. The problem is that we are receiving damage while landing in the middle of a ladder that is no where near the top or the bottom of it.

I have this bug on two unrelated servers, local game works as expected, I am running MC 1.7.5 as is the server.

Are you using No Cheat Plus plugin? Make sure to have the fall damage detect or stop or something in the config turned off. That's what was causing my problem originally.
