I tried for the past two days to upload a skin that I created through minecraft.net but I kept getting the warning " We're poking some in our servers. Please try again soon".
I decided to visit #minecrafthelp and I got a hold from GreyVulpine. I was suggested to save the file as "save for web and devices" under png-24 format. It happens that it worked this way however, with regular png save format it didn't work.
GreyVulpine also suggested me to post this issue here and it's possible solution so it can be marked as solved.
PS: I posted this in case if someone has the same issue so they can try this fix.

I changed my skin on the same day I posted this issue here and I didn't changed it since then.
Right now I'm not aware if this is still an issue.
I'm slightly confused on why the Resolution Status was marked as invalid.
The method suggested by GreyVulpine at #minecrafthelp solved my issue.
If the issue was fixed, whatever it's origin was, this suggested method was a temporary way to fix my problem making me wonder why it was marked as invalid.
Typically these issues relate to the game itself, so when you report problems with the website issues may be closed in unusual ways.
So long as it is no longer an issue, the means of closing isn't really a problem.
Is this still an issue?
