[MC-34763] Minecraft 1.6.4 recognises 13w41a server as 1.3

I run a server on 13w41a, and I used the new launcher to open version 1.6.4 on my computer. However, when it pinged the server, it showed up as 1.3.

The bottom one is the tested server. It runs 13w48b, and I am viewing it with 1.6.4.

A screenshot is attacked. Basically, EVERYTHING shows question marks: Both sides of the MOTD, and the player count.
