Roaming around in newly generated terrain, I found a desert village in a plains biome, see attached screenshot for details. There also was a desert temple but I couldn't find it again. Shouldn't that be a normal village?

It's in a world I've been playing since alpha times. I guess my terrain generation got a slight case of Alzheimers? Thanks for looking into this.
In the recent snapshots the terrain generation has changed: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Biome#Upcoming_Biome_Variations
https://mojang.com/2013/09/minecraft-snapshot-13w36a/ :
We strongly recommend that you don’t run the snapshots on an existing world if you want your landscape to stay pretty. You’ll get silly chunk borders and they don’t look pretty at all. I’d even go as far as to call them ugly.
Yeah, I know about that, I've been smoothing generation borders in that map for quite some time. I don't think this is a chunk border issue, it's surrounded by dozens of chunks of newly generated terrain. It just picked the wrong kind of village material.
Well, reopened. But don't expect that there will be something repaired. The transition of Alpha -> MCRegion -> Anvil -> New biomes probably has messed up the biome codes.
Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 13w48b? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Cannot confirm, see screenshots.
