A lot of sound missing like player movement, zombie hurting, etc.
In launcher log:
"[Client thread/WARN]: File minecraft:sounds/step/ladder1.ogg does not exist, cannot add it to event minecraft:step.ladder"... etc

Are you using the vanilla launcher? It should be downloading these for you. Please copy and paste the output of the "development console" tab for me.
