MAJOR Texture failure !!!!

What happened is , when I got a mushroom on my toolbar and i hold it the game freak a bit out , every texture became transparent except water,lava,mobs(friendly and not) and fire. Whilst the texture of lava and water flashed quickly (apearing and disappearing) as I was holding the mushroom . Now when I chose something else or nothing to hold , The lava and water textures stoped falshing. But the other textures did not came back unless I went to the menu and clicked on resource pack left the default one and clicked DONE. And the game would come back to normal . Though if i holded again the mushroom the same would happen . This happened with a torch , and one kind of wood (that I can not recall), and ithink other stuff too . I have pictures bellow . This happens in creative and survival too!
