Texture issues: All blocks become black or invisible / transparent with active mipmapping when holding decoration blocks (AMD / ATI "Legacy" driver 3.3.11672 )

Moderator Note

All blocks become black when I hold some items, including flowers, saplings, lever, all rails, normal and redstone torches and probably many more.

Going to the texture pack menu and pressing "Done" temporarily fix this (until I take these items again)

Workaround: Switch off Mipmapping: Game Menu -> Options -> Video Settings -> Mipmap Levels: OFF

Apparently this issue is affecting all older AMD graphics cards. There is an "updated" driver called "Catalyst 13.9" but the driver itself is not updated by AMD, still naming this ATI
