Strange un-textured blocks

When i downloaded the 1.7 snapshots, the block's texture was not shown instead showing the general shade of the block. Some items are not shown in inventory, instead replaced by shading effect ,(screenshots are attached). Today when i downloaded the latest version (1.7.2),I thought the issue would be resolved , but it was not. I will continue playing in 1.6.4 until the issure is resoled
