[MC-37256] different block textures in 1.7

when i updatyed to 1.7 the textures of my blocks in the inventory got changed. how to fix this or its a bug? the first image is 1.7 and the second is 1.6

but my brother has 1.7 and have the normal textures, how do i get them back?

These are normal textures. Nothing is different.

To elaborate, all logs have been given their own end textures to match their plank colors, instead of all logs using the Oak log texture. So, this is the new normal.

(Imagine if the new Acacia wood used the Oak end texture. Suddenly, instead of a medium brown plank coming out of the log, you get orange planks. Quite jarring. Thus, the change to all the logs.)

If you want the old textures back, make yourself a ressource pack. As this is a bug tracker, no one is gonna explain to you how that works. As always, Google is your friend.
