With current version no detail is being loaded for the blocks. I have tried every setting variation to fix but nothing is helping. Tried reverting to previous versions and they are working fine.
The problem is the same for online servers and local, regardless of new or old worlds.
Mobs all appear fine. Can also see through edges of blocks to caves.
Does MC-35881 describe your issue ?
